RG Group firmly believes that a hundred percent literacy rate in the country is the only Way Forward that will help the country and the society to achieve its development goals. Education of the masses – especially the downtrodden – is an endeavour where RG Group has contributed significantly in the past and continues to do so presently on a sustained basis.

Close to 60% funds of this Trust are dedicated to the education of young children from the economically poor sections of the society. Under this trust, two schools in Noida have been renovated to provide the best amenities to their students.

The RG Charitable Trust also sponsors education of many needy students in schools and colleges. Some of them are listed below:

Uttar Pradesh

RG Group has adopted 30 schools from Bharat LokShikshaParishad under their project ‘EkalVidyalaya’ located in the cities of Uttar Pradesh.

Blood Donation Camp

As part of its CSR and philanthropic activities, RG Group along with Lions Blood Bank organises a one day long blood donation camp on a regular basis. Large number of RGions voluntarily donated blood in the Camp. The Company plans to organize the blood donation camps on a much larger scale and broad-base the voluntary contributors to other regions.

RG Group firmly believes in the philosophy of ‘Ann DaanMahaDaan’, viz, donation of food grains to the needy is the biggest donation.

RG Charitable Trust regularly organises camps to distribute food, blankets and clothing to the needy.
Close to 800 blankets and 200 sarees were distributed in Uttarakhand area during the period following the devastation caused by the June 2013 calamity. Several lakhs were spent on food distribution. Camps were regularly organised in RG Residency project on the first Sunday of every month for 12 months for donations to the needy and the downtrodden.

In addition to regular contributions RG Charitable Trust makes towards various social causes, RG Group is also hugely passionate towards the social welfare and equal rights to the Girl Child. The Trust supports the education of young girls to ensure better future for them. Marriage expenses of 28 poor girls have been paid by RG Charitable Trust in the past.

RG Charitable Trust regularly provides financial aid to needy along with medical assistance from Maharaja Agrasen Hospital where Sh Rajesh Goyal, Founder and MD of the RG Group, is a Trustee.

Being a humanitarian that Sh Goyal is, RG Group Trust takes care of the patients from beginning of their treatment process till their final bill settlement. In some needy cases, medicines and nursing facilities have also been provided after the surgeries.

Apart from being actively involved in social causes, RG Charitable Trust also contributes to various trusts working for the betterment of the society. Some of these are:

• Rajiv Gandhi Cancer hospital
• Indian Saviour Foundation
• Shri Agarsen North Ex Welfare Society
• Noida Deaf society

Along with making contributions to the above institutes, medical expenses amounting to several Lakhs of few cancer patients are also being directly borne by RG Charitable Trust.

Disaster Management

Rehabilitation of residents of Uttarakhand

In June 2013, devastating floods and landslides hit Uttarakhand and thousands of people were affected. The calamity brought unprecedented misery and life and livelihood challenges to the residents of the region who lost their family members, their houses, livestock and even all means of livelihood.

Through RG Charitable Trust, RG Group adopted 22 families and built new homes for them as part of their rehabilitation. RG Group also distributed food and other essentials running into several lakhs of rupees in the affected areas. The provisions included sugar, flattened rice and shakkar.
